Love and Life Submitted on: 2009-06-07 |
| From the very start of the album you can feel the Life that is in this Album. The first songs is about a vet who is not doing so well but finds the courage to keep moving forword. You can feel the Love of this album in songs such as You're the Only One. This was last year summer love song. You can feel the Sexiness of this Cd in the song Chocolate Legs. It is a well put together CD and I recommend that you pick this CD up. |

Pleasant, but no angst to speak of............ Submitted on: 2009-04-27 |
| This CD is pleasant, the artist has a good voice, the production is on point, and no doubt, in the current market it MAY do very well. But to these ears there is nothing on offer that sets it's a apart from the competition. And that the problem, as far as I'm concerned. Whilst there is nothing wrong with singing about love, there is if there's nothing on offer. The two stand out tracks are chocolate legs, and Spanish Fly. To get that angst into his next project, whilst I'm not one for celebrity gossip, he could for example, use the intrigue ref his ex-wife, to build a collection of songs dealing with hurt, betrayal, etc. Until Mr. Benet opens himself up, a la Marvin Gayle, and takes some risks, I fear that he'll just be lost in the abundance of so-called R&B artists that are on the scene nowadays. |
