Just Fun Rock and Roll Submitted on: 2009-10-19 |

Let me say I am probably the only person who didn't listen to Extreme Behavior when it came out. Then came Take It To The Limit- Oh BABY. I can't find the words for how much I have enjoyed this CD. My favorite song is an extended track only found on Itunes - One Night Stand. This is such a fun rock song, as is Up All Night and Use Me. For those of you who like to slow it down, Thing for You is awesome. I have now gone back and given Extreme Behavior a listen. In my opinion, Take It To The Limit is much better. I look forward to more singles from this CD, more touring from the band, and the next CD.
PS - Hinder is great live. Go and see them if you get a chance. |

Take it out Submitted on: 2009-10-09 |

I know there are a bevy of comparisons to 80's rock. Yeah, there are some influences for sure but, something is missing. Could it be.....yes, I am sure of it........some soul! Hinder's first release was a tour de force. I guess they decided that they needed to reinvent the wheel with their second effort. Too many tunes that sound the same with the same hair brained lyrics to match. Now, don't get me wrong I grew up in the late 60's and early 70's and I can appreciate good old fashioned rock and roll for sure. The real problem here is this will not stand any test of time. It's due mainly to any lack of direction and it sounds just like all the other cookie cutter clatter that I hear on mainstream radio.
What made Hinders' first release so damned good was that it offered something fresh and different from the usual smattering of what they call rock and roll today. AOR died around 1980 just as new wave was making a splash. And, it ain't ever coming back. That door has been closed for a long time. The new Hinder release does have a few sparse moments but that's it. Sparse being the key word. Hinder has decided to hinder their own advancement by succumbing to the need to satisfy record and radio reps and sacrifice any creativity that they obviously have but decided to shelf for this effort. Too bad. |

| I love all of Hinder's songs on this album. In the past, I've always liked most of their stuff, but this album's superb. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't think so. |

Take It to the Limit [CD/DVD Combo] [Deluxe Edition]Extreme Behavior
Hinder is a great group. They are so energetic, they keep you rockin. You can't help but feel up when you listen to them. I loved the whole "Take It To The Limit" album. Others they have are really great also but it seems like this one they really did Take It To The Limit. They went all out. It is really rockin. If you want really rock music, a good time this is it. I recommend it to everyone. It is great. |

classic cocktail of old & new! Submitted on: 2009-04-05 |

| Fantastic follow-up to the equally superb debut 'Extreme Behavior'. A bit of a throw-back to the late 80's sound. Big anthemic songs, huge hooks, singalong choruses, great production and a singer with a line in clever and plaintive lyrics who manages to sound like Harry Hess in places. "Loaded and alone" & the more reflective "Far from home" are favorites. However... there's nothing here quite as awesome as 'Lips of an Angel' I'm afraid...& their best new track "One night Stand" isn't on the album at all and only got released as a bonus. Go figure! |
