Tired old house music Submitted on: 2009-10-01 |

I went to go see moderat live in L.A. (a truley genius group of german artists on the Bpitch label)
And they were opening for Deadmau5 so i figured Deadmau5 must be good right? WRONG
It's the same old 4/4 house beat, predictable build ups, and really nothing new or exciting happening in the music.
Songs are repetitive and lame TBH, way overhyped and overrated, his main draw was his outfit (a mouse), a gimmick to hide the lack of substance in his music.
i agree with Deadmau5 saying he hates DJ's cause all they do is play other people's music, perhaps he could explain why a large part of one of his songs contained a daft punk song (harder better faster stronger, gimme a F%&@ing break kanye #2)
unoriginal, uninspired, and overhyped. This album would only be good on drugs as evident by the naive drugged out fans at his show. |

Fun album Submitted on: 2009-09-14 |

| In general the album is pretty fun. Some tracks do become rather repetitive, but in general it is pretty good. |

Thumbs down to his arrogance Submitted on: 2009-08-24 |

| Recent interviews with wonderboy Deadmau5 and Serge Devant have given me pause about the mixing community. Starting with Deadmau5, who is currently listed as the #11 DJ in the world, I think his recent statement about DJs being f'ing c!nts just goes to show his arrogance and immaturity. If it wasn't for the DJ community, nobody would know who he is outside of his own little world in Canada. You can thank us for buying your music and providing the buzz about your skills from every blog, here to eternity. Grateful, is what you should be. Nevertheless, I personally think he and his productions will mature as the years go by, but for now, he's just a one trick pony. It doesn't take much to recreate the same dead progressive beats over and over and just drop new vocals with new lyrics over said beat. Frankly, Adam K and Soha were doing it better well before him and he could probably learn a lot from Kaskade who has proven his knowledge, skills and understanding in a variety of genres from deep, tech, progressive and yes, even mainstream electro-pop. |

Best album I own Submitted on: 2009-08-05 |

| If you like electro-house then you need this album. Deadmau5 defines the genre or perhaps re-defines it. I've also noticed a lot of cross over appeal to people that arent into electro-house, they still like deadmau5 so its great car trip material. |

Deadmau5! Submitted on: 2009-02-28 |

| This album has many of the tracks that brought him worldwide attention: Not Exactly, Arguru, Faxing Berlin, I Remember (with Kaskade!), etc. Destined to be a classic. |
