Blanket not here. Submitted on: 2009-11-12 |

| This doesn't have some of the vocals by guest artists as does the DVD. Pity. Blanket by Imogen Heep is the one of the reasons I purchased it. |

Guitar heaven Submitted on: 2009-10-18 |

| Jeff beck is a musician...who happens to play guitar. He can make lyrical poetic passages that mean something...and also blistering fusion runs into the twilight zone. He is one of the very few who can use the whammy bar in a musical way. I'v always enjoyed his playing best when he has a musically compatible keyboardest, such as Jan Hammer or Max Middleton. His keyboardest on this CD, Jason Rebello is now on this shortlist. This CD is highly recommend. |

Jeff Beck at the Top of His Game Submitted on: 2009-09-22 |

This could well be Geoffrey Arnold Beck's finest work to date, and it's all done live at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London. If you enjoy solo guitar-playing that is smokin' hot, highly nuanced, and utterly gorgeous then you're going to love this album. It is available as either a CD or DVD, and both will be worthy additions to your collection.
On this live date Jeff is backed-up by keyboardist Jason Rebello, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, and the hot (in more ways than one) young Australian bassist Tal Wilkenfeld, all great players in their own right. On a few tracks in the DVD version Beck is joined by superb guest artists Joss Stone, Imogen Heap, and Eric Clapton.
This album is a delicious display of guitar virtuosity ranging from blues to rock to jazz and beyond. This is Jeff Beck at the top of his form, playing with great artistry and pure joy.

Surprised Submitted on: 2009-09-12 |

I bought this because I had seen the show several times on the Palladia channel. I was looking forward to listening to it while I drove to and from work but it doesn't play in my car CD. I get an "error" readout. (2003 PT Cruiser/Factory player)
A little disappointing to be sure. |
