Completely satisfied Submitted on: 2009-08-20 |

| Overall I am pleased with the delivery time, product condition and with the artist's performance. I've become a fan of Jane Monheit and will be buying more of her CD's. She's a talented female vocalist, anyone not having done so should take a few minutes to listen to her sound clips. |

| Jane Monheit is a miracle. The minute you hear her you cannot believe that this woman is actually alive...she does sound exactly as an angel would sound. Pure perfection! |

wonderful and mixed at the same time Submitted on: 2009-07-06 |

| While Jane Monheit is actually one of my favorite vocalists, this release seems to be a disconnected selection of material, spanning from Cole Porter, to Paul Simon, to Sesame Street, to Portugese Love Songs. I would have rather she select a genre, and stick with it, rather than be "all over the place". As usual, the vocals, the arrangements, and the selections are all top notch and unexpected, I just wish there was a bit of continuity here in this release. I give it a 7 out of a possible 10. |

I'm Glad There Is Jane Submitted on: 2009-04-15 |

| For some unknown reason I downloaded this album when it first came out and never got around to popping it onto my iPod. But after buying and disliking Diana Krall's latest -- the turgid "Quiet Nights" -- recently, it occurred to me, "I have the new Monheit somewhere, right?" -- and finally got around to it. Wow, what I've been missing! This is the album the Krall disc wishes it were: a smooth, easy (but not Easy Listening) gem, with fantastic arrangements of an eclectic, interesting mix of songs, and some of the most beautiful traditional pop vocals you're going to hear anywhere these days. I won't join the argument about whether or not Monheit's a jazz singer or not; frankly I don't care. When an artist gives me this much pleasure, when the sheer sound of her voice is enough to calm and transport me to a better place, I don't worry about genres. I love Jane Monheit, I love this album. Not much more to say. |

Not as good as her other albums. Submitted on: 2009-04-13 |

| I bought the Album disc hoping it was similar to some of the other works of Jane Monheit's that I have purchased. I hadn't heard any of the songs before, and since Amazon didn't have any samples, I purchased it with the hope it would be half as good as 'Surrender'. Sadly, I was mistaken. However, though not anywhere as good as her other work, I still think it is better than some of the stuff from more 'publicized' artists. I'll just chalk this purchase up as the risks of the buyer. Seeing I absolutely love 95% of her work, a small percentage of so-so songs still doesn't dissuaded me from purchasing more of her albums. I just won't listen to this particular group of songs as much as the rest of her works. |
