Will Grow On You Submitted on: 2009-11-08 |
|
| When I first bought this CD, gave it a listen and I thought it was ok, nothing great. I liked about 4 tracks out of the 41 or 42. As time went on though, I started to love more and more of the tracks that I had paid no mind to before. Now I love every track on this spectacular album! Hands down 5 stars. Get it even if it isn't your style because it will grow on you! |

First and foremost, RIP J Dilla...
This tribute to him is dead on...
Madlib is just like J Dilla in this beat making thing that he does. I mean, this guy's a genious. What I want to know is why isn't anyone rapping to this great stuff? I know I do when I'm rocking this record in my car. lol, maybe it isn't meant to have any lyrics... Whatever the intention is, it surely has grabbed my undivided attention. I feel smarter every time I listen to it. Fav tracks are 1,2,3,4,5,8,10,13,14,15,24,27,30,31,42. The rest are great. Pick this up if you want a change of pace in hip hop. Man, I love this album. Thank you Madlib! |

Remember when hiphop use to sound like something unique every release? Submitted on: 2009-04-03 |
|
| Well Madlib is still making those new unique beats we use to hear when hip hop artist was about not sounding like the next guy. This is originality at it's best. If you're sick of all the garbage todays artist are spittin' over beats, take a break from that and take in a breath of this refreshing selection of beats by Madlib. A twist around every corner, with an action packed approach to Beat making. Also go get Vol. 1-2 and Vol. 3-4, hell if you like MUSIC, get anything with Madlib on it and you'll be on your way to having a better hip hop selection than the garbage coming out now! |
