A Gutsy Woman Standing on Her Own!! Submitted on: 2009-09-04 |

| I must say the first time I listened through this entire CD, I was surprised by the collection of tunes Wynona chose for this project. The second time through, I began to hear the true vocal prowess of this gutsy woman! She definitely marches to a different drummer and isn't afraid to show the world who she is and what's she's got!! It's so difficult to buck the "Powers that Be" in Nashville and demand to do a CD with the songs one feels driven to sing, but thank God for Wynona who stood her ground, took the risk and put it out there for her fans to enjoy. The songs are a wide diversity of tunes with great melodies, lyrics and subjects just made for the brilliant interpretation of a talent like Wynona. This CD is destined to be a classic! |

I really enjoy this album Submitted on: 2009-07-07 |

| I've always known that Wynonna had a wonderful, strong voice, but I have never really liked her song selection. Finally, with 'Sing', Wynonna has gotten it right. The songs are diverse- from swing to torch songs to blues to jazz - and let her show off her ability to handle all those styles masterfully. I don't really like 'I hear you knocking', which I realize is most similar to her regular stuff. Some others are okay, not great. But it is rare that I really, really enjoy 5 of the first 6 songs on an album. The best I've ever heard from Wynonna. |

Well I have been a Wynonna fan forever, I love the richness of her voice.
I have never been more dissapointed with a cd of such a quality singer. God knows she has been through a tough time and it shows in this cd. Her voice is weak, all covers, just no substance to the work.I have to say I had waited for this cd with anticipation. I will read reviews far more from now on.I certainly hope there isn't a chapter 2 and she goes back to her old style.
