| This album probably deserves five stars purely on the basis of one song - 'You Put a Move on My Heart'. Sheer class. |

Soulful Queen Submitted on: 2009-04-27 |

| Tamia is by far my favourite female R&B artist, she should have received so many awards for this album, it's fantastic ... could you really expect any less out of Quincy Jones, he's phenomenal ... you don't get artists anymore where you can listen to every single song on their CD. |

Great debut album from the most underrated voice in R&B Submitted on: 2008-09-24 |

I love Tamia! She has one of the most beautiful voices ever! It's classic, yet strong. Very soothing. She should be a superstar!
I love this album too! From the uptempo jams like "Imagination," "Falling For You," and "Is That You?," to the smooth numbers like the top 10 hit, "So Into You," (which became a hit again in 2004 for Fabolous and Tamia), "Show Me Love," and "Gotta Move On" to the lovely ballads like "Never Gonna Let You Go," "Who Do You Tell," and "Rain on Me" to the soulful ballads like "This Time It's Love," "Loving You Still," and the Quincy Jones ballad that introduced her to the world, "You Put A Move On My Heart." Tamia also does a great remake of George Michael's "Careless Whisper."
Anything Tamia does, I buy. She just has one of those voices that you just fall in love with. It just baffles me why she never reached the level of other super divas like Mariah, Mary, Toni, and Lauryn. I guess that just the way it goes sometimes. But this album is a classic to me! |

Tamia's gold-certified debut! Submitted on: 2008-09-18 |

| I remember this album when I was 11. I love this album. Her voice sounds assured and strong. With this album, she had confirmed her position as the vocalist to watch in the coming years. Blending a mix of rhythmic dance songs and soulful ballads, She deftly dislays the maturity and self-confidence that she has developed since her recording debut. With accomplished producers, she displays a range of tempo and mood that reveals teh heart and soul of the artist it celebrates. The album is rounded out by an array of sensual, sexy ballads. She continued to grow musically and personally-evidence by her debut album. Remember, this was 1998. |
