My Favorite Remix Submitted on: 2009-11-20 |

| This was my intro to Above & Beyond and loved it so much I collected several more of their CDs. The original Sirens of the Sea CD was a little too sad-sounding to me but the remixed versions are great and energizing. The fast beat is perfect for barre workouts but it also puts me in a good mood if I'm down. Just lovely, haunting tracks I find myself humming throughout the day. |

Not sure of the point of disc 2. Disc one captures everything perfectly. Wish it was mixed continuously. However, the absolute sheer perfection of each track pretty much makes up for that shortcoming. The disc gets more clubby as it progresses, especially after track 6. Track three will make you cry, it's that good.
After years of religiously following AVB (and watching him slide downhill with ASOT 2008 and Religion 2008), this is my first exposure to Above and Beyond; it won't be my last as I have three of their compilations on order. We'll see if those measure up to this.
If disc one was continuously mixed and slightly more varied in flow than simply siting the chill stuff in the first half and the clubby stuff in the second half, it could have rivaled the singular standard bearer of this kind of trance in my opinion, disc one of ASOT 2005. |

great remix sans the A&B club tracks Submitted on: 2009-09-22 |

| If you're familiar with the original, awesome release, you'll really like the different house/trance/prog sound the remixes bring. Good and diverse stuff. The only tracks I didn't like were the "club mixes" by none other than... Above & Beyond! Ohh the irony! |
