Wait for me...wait for the bargain bin Submitted on: 2009-10-18 |

| For me, Moby has been one of those artists where I will pick up his CD without knowing anything about it, or having heard any of the songs. I think the only album I don't own is Hotel. I discovered him with Play, and continued forward and backwards through his work. I was surprised with Animal Rights, and that he can shred on a guitar. This CD sucks. I did not like it at all. I'm so tired of the gospel track remix he does, over and over and over again. I always found his past work to be quite immersive. This one is just blah. I won't be buying another album from him, or at least I'll be putting him in the category of "must listen to first before buying." |

I've had an occasional interest in Moby's music since back in the mid-90s, but wouldn't say I've ever been fully captured by his music. This record however really strikes a chord. Much of it does fit with what you might think of as "score music," but not all of the record is that ambient. It's not dancefloor stuff, certainly, and it's not just idle background music either.
There's a raw intimacy here that I wasn't expecting, though which Moby has always shown himself capable of in different places.
It's my favorite Moby album, yet. A real creative piece that is immediately striking, but demands time to absorb.

Moby the Melancholy Submitted on: 2009-10-07 |

| Moby has always has a depressing side and this album is pretty much the epitome of it. None of the songs are really danceable, this is more like something you'd sit in a dark room and listen to, thinking about all the missed opportunities and failures in your life. Fortunately, it's also very pretty. A good bit of violin along with the synthesizers. I've listened to it several times since buying it. I find it enjoyable. |

Worst Album and concert/live show EVER!!!!!!!! Submitted on: 2009-10-02 |

| I have loved Moby music forever. I have been anticipating this show in Minneapolis 10/01/09 FOR FREAKIN' EVER. I was home by 9:30 pm from this show. It royally sucked. Yes, perhaps it was impartial to Minneapolis, but STILL! The album, "Wait For Me" sucks too. I downloaded it from Amazon.com via MP3 download two months ago. Moby, "Wait for Me" is a lazy disaster that should be ignored completely. ABSOLUTE BOOOOOO! FFFFFFFF off Moby! |

Pleasantly boring Submitted on: 2009-09-02 |

| I guess I'm not a Moby fan but I could have just as well played the 30 second sampler over and over again, there's little creativity to be found here. Overall this CD makes me think of the musical score for a chick flick. |
