What a find! Submitted on: 2009-10-28 |

| I generally don't buy anything post-'85. Had often heard the name 'Michael Buble' bandied about, and I genuinely thought he was some idols runner-up pushing out some few albums consisting mainly of covers. Then, while browsing through the jazz section in a local store, a stranger struck up a conversation with me, and opened his diary with a list of recommendations that others had made to him. On a page all on its own I saw written the name 'Michael Buble'. I asked the gent why he's want to listen to that. Said he'd seen snippets from a DVD and could not believe that a white youngster could sing jazz so brilliantly. He said if he could find this CD/DVD he would buy it without hesitation. Thought I'd give it a listen myself. KAPOW! Here I had someone singing like Sinatra, except much, much better. I never previously bought any of this type of music because I never found it done in a way appealing enough to me. But now I had found it. A couple of Buble albums later, this remains my favourite. The live situation brings out the genius in this incredibly talented man. He sings so utterly effortlessly and has a magnetic, electrifying yet adorable and comfortable stage personality. The arrangements are also so stylish. His voice is now human, now taking on the timbre of some unknown wind instrument. I am indeed overawed! And oh - regarding the covers... keep singing them Michael, because you surely make them your own. |

One New Song would have made it perfect Submitted on: 2009-10-23 |

I loved Michael Buble's voice. This is a compilation of mostly stuff that's been released, but I have to say to hear him live is a different experience and this CD is just that. I prefer the version of Home, Lost, Everything, World on a String on this CD to any other version I own.
If you are looking for new releases, you won't find them on this one, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. I was thrilled with this purchase. You can't help but be in a good mood after listening to Michael Buble;. |

| Just got home from a late night of work and finished a quick dinner. Took a quick shower and ripped open the CD. Listened to the first few tracks and the music is so relaxing and refreshing. Now, at 1:15 in the morning, I find myself pouring a glass of chilled chardonnay. That's how good this album is. Love the music and Michael's musical style. This is the second album I own of his. Very nice interpretation of some old classics (Lost, Me and Mrs. Jones). I'm very happy I purchased this album. If you like to relax and sip wine while listening to some good tasteful tunes, this CD is for you. |
