| I think this is my favorite blue eyed solo album, ever. Just a touch of whskey to it, you'll be lisitening to it over and over, singing at the top of your lungs. |

Hits the Soul Spot

Saw these guys in Baton Rouge just after this album was released (198?). It was a week night and my band-mates and I were the only folks in the club (remember, this is the other South Central LA ;-). We had recently started our own 10 piece soul band and were in the process of learning a few of their tunes. We reminded them that "it ain't the size of the army but the fury of the battle" and they put on one heck of show for the few of us who were there. John Paruolo even took the time to show our keyboardist the correct way to play Cardiac Party.
This album is truly great. It's full of powerful tunes that you'll really enjoy. Trust me, if you're a fan of Memphis Soul, you're going to love this music! |

| I discovered this band at the Belly-up in Solana Beach, CA. They are fabulous performers and this is a wonderful collection. "I'm Ready to Learn" is one of the finest love songs I've ever heard! I wish Amazon carried this CD on a regular basis! |
