Customer Reviews of This Album/CD

Solid effort

A good album. They are sticking to the fomula that is working for them. A good listen if you like the group, probably won't add any new fans though.
pretty good

this is a great record, it lacks a powerful single like vitamin r, but every song is above average, plus you wont find any good bands this days so buy this
Their best album yet

Their previous albums suffer from the same weakness that many albums from newer bands - they start off great, but falter near the end. It seems like every one of their previous albums has great rock tracks, but filler near the end.

This album, however, breaks that trend. From beginning to end, the songs are catchy, have great music, and are just fun to listen to. Even down to the final track, 'Sci-Fi Crimes' rocks!
Always Amazing

Chevelle never ceases to amaze me. Their music is the best I think I've ever heard and their cd's keep getting better and better. I love their song "Jars". I thought this cd was totally worth it.
If you're a fan, you probably know what to expect..

And probably won't be disappointed. After the first couple listens, I felt there were definitely a couple of filler tracks but they've all grown on me. For me, it's probably my fourth favorite album of theirs, but that isn't much of a slam as the three above it are all probably as close to masterpieces as you can get when compared to most of the rest of what you hear in this genre of music.

Their new bassist is good, but I definitely miss the ultra oppressive crunching you'd get now and then on a song like, say, Comfortable Liar from WWN. Sleep Apnea and Fell Into Your Shoes are as good as anything they've ever done, though, and even some of the songs that initially strike you as filler you'll probably come around to (Pete's wailing in Roswell's Spell could give anyone chills).
