Another Barbra Blockbuster Submitted on: 2009-11-18 |

| Barbra can do no wrong, this CD is awesome, very warm and in perfect Barbra tradition. Love the warmth of the songs, and music you just want to cuddle up in a warm blanket and enjoy! |

The Sixties are good to Babs Submitted on: 2009-11-15 |

I think I have listened to every album, and watched just about every movie Barbra Streisand has ever made, and that takes some doing, the gal is prolific. I bought the CD as soon as I could and waited, to be swept away, or not. I simply waited.
When I listened to "Love is the Answer" the other evening, I was writing and had the CD on in the background. Before she'd finished the first phrase of the first song, I pushed myself away from my computer desk (my chair has wheels), closed my eyes and wallowed in the mastery of this woman in her sixties sing as flawlessly as she has ever done. Perhaps it was the collaboration with Diana Krall, I don't know, perhaps it was Barbra being simply Barbra, perhaps it was because I was listening to her at 2 o'clock in the morning, when all sorts of magical and mysterious things happen.
When the last song was sung and the music faded away, I breathed deeply and returned to my writing. |

| I own every Streisand album, and yes I do mean every one. I think there comes a time in an artists life when they really should think about retiring. We all get old, the voice has to go and it did for Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Andy Williams and now Barbra. I literally fell asleep through this one but cringed at the croaky note in Smoke Gets ... What I'm saying is, please don't try and milk it as long as the others, we loved you up until now. |

What a disappointment Submitted on: 2009-11-08 |

| I can't believe Barbara is turning out another nausiatingly boring compliation of nothing! This album doesn't even come close to jazz, but rather, singing in the shower. Yes, this album sounds like she is practicing in the shower - and there just happens to be a piano handy. I will give her that the voice isn't quite what it used to be, but she really needs to go back and listen to some of her more up tempo numbers and numbers that she can "belt" to really showcase that still incredible voice. I bought the last three albums and gave them all away. Enough of sleepy, boring, unmusical "blah" that was on these last few albums. Does anyone remember the Broadway albums, or "Somewhere" ? THOSE are Streisand! |

| Barbra at her best. I love the bluesy sound. It was mellow. I enjoyed it much better than the last two albumns. She did an amazing job. It just shows how timeless she is. |
