These guys are outstanding. When I first saw them live, I couldn't believe they weren't one of the more popular bands on the planet. Their CD's are awesome! This one especially.

I rarely take the time to write reviews...unless something is outstanding, and this is. Great writing, produced perfectly and fun to listen to. Definitely makes you want to see them live...which apparently is even better judging from some of the other reviews here.

Great Southern Rock n' Roll !

Il Sud degli Stati Uniti è da sempre una fonte inesauribile di grande musica e straordinari musicisti e accanto ai nomi sacri che hanno fatto e continuano a fare la storia in ambito Country, Blues e Southern Rock , troviamo puntualmente nuovi musicisti e band che continuano a portare avanti una straordinaria tradizione musicale e omaggio ai grandi del passato, ma con uno stile personale e un sound moderno e coinvolgente.
Ne sono la conferma i Blackberry Smoke, un eccellente quartetto di Atlanta ( Georgia ) diventato nel giro di un paio d'anni una delle band più affermate del panorama Southern Rock e che ha da poco pubblicato il secondo bellissimo album intitolato " Little Piece of Dixie " che contiene 11 tracce da ascoltare tutte d'un fiato.
Un disco che trasuda polvere, paludi e praterie ad ogni traccia, con un sound che alterna stupende rock n' roll song nella migliore tradizione di gruppi come Lynyrd Skynyrd e Black Crowes a bellissime ballate country rock che ricordano i primi Outlaws, ma il tutto con uno stile e un sound graffiante e ruvido assolutamente personale e accattivante.
In questi anni di clamorosa ascesa hanno suonato con tutti i grandi del Southern Rock, Country e Blues delle Swampland, ovvero ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shooter Jennings, Cross Canadian Ragweed solo per citarne alcuni, raccogliendo consensi ovunque e diventando rapidamente uno dei gruppi di punta della nuova generazione di alfieri del Southern Rock.
In dicembre saranno protagonisti di un tour europeo che toccherà diverse città tra Francia, Germania, Svizzera e Spagna, mentre in gennaio saranno tra i protagonisti principali della fantastica Simple Cruise, l'incredibile e straordinaria crociera musicale cha da anni si svolge nei mari tra Florida e Messico organizzata dallo staff dei Lynyrd Skynyrd con i quali hanno ormai un legame quasi fraterno.
Una band da seguire con attenzione e un disco da avere assolutamente per tutti gli appassionati di autentico Southern Rock n'Roll .

| I have seen thes guys 3 times so far and hopefully will see them many more. Simply put these guys are the cream of the crop and this is probably the best cd I have ever purchased. |

| This is the "Southern Rock" we've all been waiting for. This is a great cd, It's hard not to listen to is all the time. I'm really impressed with the sound & songs on this cd. No sophmore jinx on this one......Buy it. |
