Pat and the band are happy again Submitted on: 2009-11-22 |

I've been a Train fan ever since I saw them live after their debut album. I've enjoyed over the years the unique mix of quirky lyrics, southern-tinged guitars, and Pat Monahan's high-reaching vocals. Unfortunately their last album kind of fell flat for me, and I was starting to grow tired of their increasingly melancholy sound.
Needless to say, I was hesitant to get Save Me, San Francisco, but I ultimately was pleasantly surprised. It seems the boys are back in good spirits and Jimmy Stafford is back to wailing on the guitar. Each track is unique in capturing the sound of old with the style of late. I saw them live again this year, and the tracks Soul Sister and Save Me San Francisco packed so much energy, the crowd couldn't help but be on their feet. It's great to see this great band put out another solid album. |

| Joy = Train being back with this new CD. I love the CD and consider Patrick and the band the best of the best. They are by far my favorite group of all time and they are great in concert. If you ever get a chance to see them live, GO! If I had to pick a favorite track or two from this CD it would probably be Words and Brick by Brick. Train, please come to Northeast Pennsylvania!!!! |

Surprisingly Good Submitted on: 2009-11-12 |

| I like every track on this album, even "I Got You" despite the cheesiness with the Doobie Brothers lyrics. Pat Monahan's vocals soar on many tracks and teaming up with Ryan Tedder on "This Ain't Goodbye" is the highlight for me, a wonderful song. |
