A perfect addition to a perfect album Submitted on: 2009-11-23 |

Lady Gaga fans rejoice! Not just celebrating new material but the fact that it can be purchased separately from The Fame. The 8 songs that come on The Fame Monster are in the same vein, though you won't hear constant references to money and fame (which is a plus). The first three songs of the album (Bad Romance, Alejandro, Monster) will immediately have you hooked, while the remainder of the album is either love it or hate it. Speechless breaks away from the pattern and is a great slower Gaga song, Telephone is also excellent. While Dance in the Dark and So Happy I Could Die are also good, but they feel too familiar to really stand out. Finally Teeth is a great finish to this short album. Ultimately if you are a Gaga fan as I am, you will have the album on repeat, there is no slump as I feared there would be. Lesser fans will want to stick with the first three songs primarily.

Enjoyable addition to the fame Submitted on: 2009-11-23 |

This is a nice set of 8 songs, none of which feel throwaway to me. I'm really happy they released this separately so you aren't forced to buy the deluxe edition with all the songs from the fame again! Beyonce is a fun addition to this CD in the song Telephone, but the real surprise for me on the CD is the song Speechless which almost feels like a genre shift! - I immediately had it stuck in my head, and have played it on repeat several times; it really highlights what a good voice she has. I would think this CD will please fans of the first CD as it is mostly in the same mode - very catchy!
