Artist Biography |

|
Occasionally an artist or band pops up who changes the way people think about music and reminds them that there still is room left for something honest and different. Corbin Crowe has crawled from the bowels of rock 'n' roll with his gothic blues, a style that seems completely unaffected by whats going on in music right now.
Corbin learned how to play by experimenting and writing, as opposed to learning how to play the music of others. His one-man acoustic guitar sound conjures up visions of a world where everything is dead or on its way to dying, and in a strange way there is beauty in that. What's most significant is that instead of trying to escape this world through music, Corbin seems to belong there, our storyteller from the other side. He is the poster child of misery; authentic goth. Carrying on the raw and real acoustic style of such greats as Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan and mixing it with a heavy dose of gloom, Corbin Crowe has already carved out a place for himself, and he hasn't even released his first album. The album is "Miserywings";a collection of doom-soaked tales recorded by Mr Crowe and his band of fiends. Each track coincides with a chapter in a book titled "Survival Guide to Planet Earth" that he plans to release with the album. The concept of the album is bigger than Corbin himself, as he points out that this is not meant to be a solo offering, but a culmination of ideas under the title "Miserywings".
