"Born to perform" – these three words best describe dAVID jANES. At 20 years of age, his is the exciting new face and sound of the most compelling hybrid of pop, rock and contemporary country music coming out of Canada today.

And what a face, what a sound! Variously compared to a mix of Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Paul Brandt and Blue Rodeo, dAVE's successes are many. Performing in front of audiences numbering in the thousands throughout his teenage years, dAVE and his former band, Running Against Radar, recently won the Canadian leg of the 2004 Emergenza Best Unsigned Band Contest. Additionally, dAVE also won the Best Singer category and he and the band won the Best Stage Performance category. They then flew to Germany in August 2004 to represent Canada for the world finals, placing a respectable 11th out of 19 countries and over 6,000 bands.

Now dAVE is going solo with his first commercially released CD in the fall of 2005. But you can hear some of his new tracks on The Sonic Deli's BROWN BAG LUNCH; a collective CD released in March 2005.

BROWN BAG LUNCH offer's not only dAVE's first single "Beautiful" plus 3 more tunes, but also other songs by artists under The Sonic Deli label - includes Juno, CMT and NSAI award winners.

Co-writing with his Sonic Deli producer-composer, Jim Armstrong and backed by a group of musicians with international credentials, dAVE's songs and writing abilities display a maturity beyond his years. Look forward to a long line of hits and tours from this young man for many years to come.
