Artist Biography

Decreto is an eccentric indie rock band from Orange County California. Miguel, Josh, and Fidel Jaimes grew up in the city of Santa Ana with no intention of getting involved in music. While growing up in a Christian home, their father started to write songs and wanted his kids to learn an instrument. Fidel started at the age of 14 learning the piano and Miguel soon followed in learning the guitar. Spending hours after school and learning Dad’s songs, they soon began playing music with friends. As Fidel and Miguel began to grow they began writing their own songs. The band needed a change. As they matured, the band needed a drummer and not just any drummer. Their attention drew towards their little brother. Josh didn’t want to get involved as he saw their older brothers as not having a life outside their music. Josh grew older and he began playing drums anyway as it came natural to him. Decreto was born.

The passion and the love for music became greater as they band began playing together. Around 2001 Miguel, Fidel, and Josh decided to go a step further and in 2002 recorded their EP entitled “solo”. Today, each member brings a different element and influences through the years giving Decreto the edge that separates them from other bands. They have grown both musically and spiritually and though the band has gone through many phases, the Jaimes have kept the band alive. Decreto is ready to do spiritual warfare in a world that desperately needs change. The word "Decreto" means a signed law or order given by a higher authority that cannot be broken.
