The '''Diggin' in the Crates Crew, also known as D.I.T.C., is a New York -based hip-hop collective, deriving its name from the art of seeking out records to sample for production. Its members have achieved substantial and consistent recognition in underground rap circles, often collaborating with undiscovered talent and underground artists alongside the most commercial of rappers. All of its members are from the Bronx , with the exception of Big L (from Harlem ) and O.C. (from Brooklyn ).

History

D.I.T.C. consists of rappers, DJs, and producers. The members were Showbiz & A.G., Diamond D , Lord Finesse, Fat Joe , O.C., Buckwild, and Big L .

OC and AG released a collaborative album in 2009 entitled OASIS - Together Brothers , and Diamond D released an LP entitled The Huge Hefner Chronicles in late 2008.

On December 4, 2008, affiliated rapper Party Arty (aka P-80) died. At press time, it was revealed that the cause of his passing was due to health complications. However, the details were not disclosed. In 2008, Freddie Foxxx (using his Bumpy Knuckles pseudonym) released the long-shelved Crazy Like A Foxxx album. The second of two discs featured DITC produced demo versions of the original tracks dating to 1993.cite web|url= http://www.discogs.com/Bumpy-Knuckles-Crazy-Like-A-Foxxx/release/1503038 |title=Bumpy Knuckles - Crazy Like A Foxxx (CD, Album) at Discogs |publisher=Discogs.com |date= |accessdate=2012-03-23 DITC production contrasts with the Jailhouse version of production from 1994.

In 2011, Showbiz and A.G.|Showbiz confirmed that the crew itself is now defunct and will no longer create any new albums in the future citing musical creative differences.cite web|url= http://conspiracyworldwide.podomatic.com/player/web/2011-02-05T08_04_26-08_00 |title=PodOmatic & #124; Best Free Podcasts |publisher=Conspiracyworldwide.podomatic.com |date= |accessdate=2012-03-23 However, member O.C. confirmed that the group will indeed record a brand new album with production so far from Diamond D & Lord Finesse awaiting Buckwild . He stated that their fallen brother & member Big L would not want them to end their legacy like this.Cite web | last=Paine | first=Jake | date=April 16, 2012 | url= http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.19404/title.oc-confirms-ditc-recording-sophomore-album-big-l-inspired-reunion | title=O.C.
