Hi Folks, Im Dj Madass or Mads Bjorn-Roli( my real name)
Im a Norwegian guy stranded in Minneapolis, Minnesota,US.
I started making music for about 5 years ago, when I needed a hobby.
I worked as a Baker over nights and had nor much to do when the rest of the world was at work.
I started buying,downloading beats and loops and created my own crazy little style of electronic experimental music. I don't follow any rules or boundaries, and am trying to mix any genre of music together.
I have just bought an Akai MKP 25 synth with sonar and will now try to make my own beats and sounds, but yet keep my own experimental music style.
I got a Yamaha keyboard and a guitar from before.
After being ranked at nb 13 as an artist, and had songs all the way up to nb 1 on the unsigned chart here at the Artistopia.
After reaching over 2 million plays and over a million visitors at Myspace.
After doing good ratings on other pages around the web I decided to try to get to the next level.
I will still do my remixing from other peoples loops, but also make my own music. This music will be posted in here, and at www.myspace.com/madsbjornroli.
Am getting lots of advice from musicians that I got to know here in Minneapolis, + some good connections here on the internet.
Some of them are big names in the record industry here in the us. I will revile their names when I got some good music to put out.
They like my ideas, but in order to help me getting a record deal I need to compose my own music. So the summer of 2010 I will spend long days trying to compose music, write lyrics(wish I have never done before). So with some long needed help I might get to make music in to something more than a hobby.
My inspiration comes from: My 10 year old autistic daughter, that try so hard to do all the things that are expected of a person, but got to try 100% harder to make it done. She knows she is different but she dont care , she learn in her own paste, she is always happy and keeping on trying hard and has so fare never given up on what she need to learn. She is My little Princess.
My wife that is working 70 hr a week as a restaurant manager so we can get food on the table. You are my Angel.
Living and breading in two different countries, trying hard to make life easy, and succeed in both, has given me a wide cultural and diverse view of life, morals, and of coarse music.
I love life, I love people and I love music.
