Burning with infectious melody and hook-laden craftwork, Evan Gold presented his second independent release, STEAL THE SCENE, in March of 2003. By late 2003 it had largely caught the ear of the indie community and garnered Evan offers from numerous labels. In March of 2004, Evan signed with the Texas based WTL Records to release a single culled from the E.P. August 17th 2004 was the release date for the limited edition single, "The Sons Of Consequence”, with a bold cover of Madonna's "Borderline" as the bonus cut on the 3 track single. "Robert Downey Jr." was also featured to round out the disc. ("Sons" was also featured on Shut Eye Records Buzzlighter 7 comp. in July of 04 - alongside Brian Jonestown Massacre and Dios) . The single was immediately embraced by College/CMJ stations as well as on web radio, picking up speed in a short time and has sold in excess of 700 copies nationally & just under 300 internationally.
