Although New Brunswick, NJ's Gaslight Anthem have only been around a couple years, they've become one of the punk underground's most celebrated acts. They've toured with Against Me, The Loved Ones, and The Bouncing Souls. Their Side One Dummy debut reconciles their love of classic rock and soul icons Bruce Springsteen, Otis Redding, and Tom Petty with their NJ punk roots to create a unique musical amalgam.

Album Summary
"American Slang" marks an extraordinary leap forward for the Gaslight Anthem, revealing a triumphant rock 'n' roll band honed by two years of nearly non-stop touring. Singer/guitarist Brian Fallon's lyrical approach has grown more personal and introspective, his raw throated vocals stronger and more resonant against the band's boundless dynamic force. American Slang is a classic rock and roll album, that will be a benchmark for other bands to measure themselves against and try to mimic for generations to come.

Album Summary
Sink or Swim, the New Jersey-based quartet's debut LP, is the type of record that most young bands wish they could create to launch their musical career. For a group of guys with such diverse backgrounds in styles like folk, blues, metal, hardcore and punk, the overall output is an album rich in melody, hooks and overall well-crafted song arrangements. In the album's opener, Boomboxes and Dictionaries; we get a very bouncy number to kick things off, slightly reminiscent of Against Me!, complete with the standard whoah-oh-oh; backing vocals. Fans of bands like Samiam and Lucero will appreciate tracks like I Coulda Been a Contender; with its slowed-down intro, blasting into the up-tempo choruses, all the while perfectly showcasing singer/guitarist Brian Falon's smokey vocal style. - PUNKNEWS ORG

Album Summary
This is a four-song EP, Senor And The Queen, from New Brunswick, New Jersey's The Gaslight Anthem who have acomplished a lot despite the fact that they only have one full-length to their name (2007's Sink Or Swim). The band have written songs that are dripping with so much authenticity it seems they would take decades of hard living to craft. They have played over 200 shows in 2007 alone with some of the biggest names in the punk scene such as Against Me!, The Loved Ones and more. This EP was recorded during a rare few days off in Austin, Texas in 2007. The EP shows the progression the band has made in literally every waking moment on the road in 2007. The band is made up of vocalist/guitarist Brian Fallon, bassist Alex Levine, drummer Benny Horowitz and guitarist Alex Rosamilia.
