Artist Biography

Giulia (25 June, 1989) Is music something to be taken seriously? It is for me, more than anything else. How could you not take something so overwhelming seriously? Music is a passion for me, it has enriched my life since I was 12, when I started to sing and write songs. Songs both in English and in Italian, at first only known to me, later sung to others, listened to by others. My fear at the beginning ( even now, to tell the truth) .

Success in competitions, with ‘ Nella voglia di vita’, ‘Stella Polare’, ‘Qualcosa poi rimane’ (awarded a prize in the Augusto Daolio competition), ‘Tra le mie lune e le maree’ (finalist in the Bologna Music Festival). And then the VocidiRoma prize. Emotion transmitted, deeply, through vibrations which are nothing short of a miracle; this is the gift I receive time and time again. All this experience has enriched my life, making me understand the importance of communicating with others, which is maybe what I most like about singing and music in general. My greatest hope is to reach my listeners, holding nothing back, and leaving them with a part of myself, of what I am and what I feel.
