Grey Revell is the son of a Vietnam Veteran and a Cuban Refugee; he was born in Los Angeles, and raised in Covina, CA. Although he had little formal musical training, while in junior high in Los Angeles he became acquainted with 60's garage rock and orchestral pop.
Grey’s 1998 debut CD, Midnight Eye, was produced in New York by Nathan Weaver, who also worked with Jim Sheppard and the Columbus Ohio Lo-Fi band V3. 1999 and 2000’s Crazy Like an Ambush and The Green Train were produced by Spencer Chakedis at Balloon Heaven Studios in Jersey City, NJ. 2002’s Kamikaze was produced by Dane Johnson and Matt Cusack at Grisly Labs, also in Jersey City, NJ.
