I received this award at the Society's Convention at the Disneyland Hotel in Southern California. I attended, but didn't win any cash that time. I took the plane from Maui to LAX and lost my glasses, my husband had a baby with another woman and I lost my taxi job. Even my cockatiel (that performed in the show with the little chihuahua Precious) flew away. I cried thru the entire convention, but got to play piano in the lobby a few times and that was a real thrill for me.
Anyway...life goes on!

I've created a line of marionettes and puppets that I perform with (when I'm a clown) and continue to put on backyard shows for now (brokendown van).
Saturday Market was an Arts & Crafts and Musical event. But we did so much business in the park that the local stores closed us down.
I also performed sets of my original music along with popular (n my day) cover songs.

For almost a year I performed regularly on Weds afternoons for the restaurant patrons. I also had a table where I displayed my albums, children's books, poetry books and watercolor prints etc for sale.

. I have 5 of my albums on my website now. One is bi-lingual (Spanish/English) all originals: Boom Ba Ba Boom!

Mom's Restuarant guys Maui Mall, Kahului) were personal friends and they loved my music. Their kids loved playing with the puppets, so I'd set the stage up every now and then and afterschool the kids would have a ball with the puppets.
But mostly I played my music and favorite covers, like Only You, One Note Samba.
But now the restaurant is closed down. Hard to make a living all year round.

The Society displayed my artwork and requested a Halloween puppet show, which I did, and we had so much fun!
On Saturdays I'd go under the Banyan Tree with the other Society Artists and sell my watercolors, etc. I brought the stage out frequently and was allowed to play my guitar and sing while the island visitors browsed around. Truly a blast!!!

I was chosen as the lead dancer for Mr. Scrader's pilot "Girl's Dorm". That was my first gig. The pilot never sold. I was so young then (17) and wanted children and a family more than getting out on stage. So I've raised 3 children. I've done alot of extra work (The Grifters, Equal Justice etc) while attending college (LACC-1990) and am good at pre-production, have crewed and acted in many projects over the years.
