Artist Biography |

|
I'm celebrating my 18th year as a professional singer/songwriter. I spent the first 17 years of my professional career in Bristol,VA/TN., which is the Birthplace of Country music. Past artists I've opened for, and/or sang with are; Chicago, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kevin Welch, Michael Johnson, Jonell Mosser, Ashley Cleveland, Goosecreek Symphony, Dave Loggins, The Metropolitan Blues All-Stars, and many other Nashville songwriters who've all become filthy rich by writing Garth Brooks songs.brbrI released my first all-original CD project, "Home Sweet Home" in the year 2000, to a fair amount of good reviews, and did several TV and radio live shows to promote it's release.
I have since recorded several other original songs, in which the best of them can be found on my second additonal site at myspace.com/hbbeverlymusic. brbrI currently play and live in the Grand Strand area of Myrlte Beach, SC, and am laying plans to do my second CD project in the Spring of 2007. br brIn 2003, I was the featured singer of a play that written especially with my character, and original songs in mind, as well as a few Jimmy Buffett songs. I performed in this play when it started out at the Paramount Theatre in Bristol, TN. The name of the play was "Planet Harmonywood", and later toured to Chattanooga, TN, as well as the Barter theatre in Abingdon, VA. for critically acclaimed performances there. brbrIn 2005 I moved to the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina, and currently reside there, playing all the tourist hang-outs on the Strand.
Artist Mission
I have the inner faith that I'm good enough for a legitimate business arrangement with a professionally disitrbuted label, as I was in that sort of arrangement for a short time with Digi-Tone Records out of East Tennessee in 2000. But they couldn't hold up their end of the contract, and long litigation resulted from that. Since then, I've been overly cautious about any future I may have as an "artist". The years have caught up with me now, as far as being any sort of visually marketable male entertainer. So in seeing the writing on the wall, I'm now hoping to get into the "business side" of entertainment, and become an asset to someone as a Producer, engineer, or working in publishing. My passion is music, and as long as I'm involved in some facet of creating it, then I'll be happy as a sardine in a can!
Music Influences
Bruce Springsteen, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jim Croce, Kris Kristofferson, Southside Johnny, Isacc Hayes, Roger Miller, Del Reeves, Jerry Jeff Walker, Loudon Wainwright III, James Taylor, John Prine, Steve Earle, Rodney Crowell, Robert Earl Keen, Paul Thorn, Guy Clark, Steve Goodman, and oh yes -Mr. Jimmy Buffett
