Hekill Three is a hard-driven Texas metal band with an extremely successful year promoting 3.0, their debut album on CardinalZen Records. “Real Gardinias” was a top requested local video; 101X FM, KLBJ FM and The Edge Magazine featured live cuts on CD compilations. "Dayglo" received airplay on 101X and KNAC, amongst other college stations; was Single of the Year by Chris Gray, Austin Chronicle, who also chose them Metal Band of the Year and #4 on his Best of Texas list. Hekill Three have a steadily growing fan base across Texas and beyond, opening for acts like Jerry Cantrell, ill nino, Superjoint Ritual, Pimpadelic, Unloco, and CKY. Dan Collins’ machine precision guitar provides the adrenaline behind the menacing, but charismatic vocals of Zak McMakin and his intelligent, fight (and thought)-provoking lyrics. The complex exactness of Chris Martin’s old school thundering drums never misses a beat of Mel Langenberg’s mean aggressive bass line that punches with Machiavellian passion.
Artist Mission
Slap on a Label and Go! Hekill Three are releasing their sophomore album in February 2004 and are first seeking professional booking representation, second national management and third, distribution and/or recording contract. Hekill Three are honed and ready for the touring and festival circuit and are ripe for an X-Games Crash reel or a berth on Ozz Fest. The perfect regional and touring opening band for any major label and major independant metal artists.
