Jim and Martha Hession were selected by the Southern Artist Registry to be featured as jazz performers in the S.A.R. online website. The SAR features a select group of acclaimed artists from the southeastern United States whose career work has exhibited a level of excellence in their chosen field. The Hessions were nominated by the Mississippi Arts Commission in partnership with the Southern Arts Federation as artists whose work exhibits originality and vision. Southern Artistry is an online showcase spotlighting the diversity and achievements of outstanding artists who live and work in the South.
The Mississippi Arts Commission is proud of the array of artists, craftsmen, performance and literary talent displayed on Southern Artistry. This online directory gives artists a place to showcase to the region and nation. The website also provides the opportunity to network with other artists. |
