The Diane Williams Interview with Jim and Martha Hession airs on August 15,16,2009.
Diane Williams,an intuitive interviewer with a natural ability to introduce subject matter and follow-through covers the many aspects of Jim and Martha Hession's career in a one hour MPB broadcast. The show began with a discussion of this couple's long and interesting career in music. Starting with the early years, education and long relationship with jazz great, Eubie Blake,Diane delved into the long relationship with the Walt Disney Company. Discussing the historical bent in what the Hessions teach in their concerts in a setting where the audience is both informed and entertained, Diane elicited a truly informative response from Jim and Martha. Also of interest was their sudden and rather surprising move from California to the Gulf Coast in 2003.
Altogether, the interview was bright, entertaining and introspective with anecdotes aplenty........
