Hession Appearance on Harvest Show withKelly Morgan set for broadcast -December 8,2006 |

The concert by Jim and Martha Hession with guest Ryan Burrage at the New Orleans Historical Jazz Park will be featured on the Inspiration Channel's Harvest Show with Kelly Morgan on Friday December 8,2006. Broadcast times are 8-9amCST with rebroadcasts at 9-10pm and 1-2am on Directv(Channel 321on the Gulfcoast; check listings for Broadcast Channel in your area).
The taping was done in front of a packed house in the Historical National Park auditorium and featured jazz piano solos by Jim Hession, jazz vocal standards by Martha Hession and piano/reed duets with Jim and Ryan Burrage. The finale of the show incorporated on the spot musical requests by the audience assembled in a piano medley known as Jim's "New Orleans Musical Gumbo". Following the concert Jim and Martha were interviewed by host, Kelly Morgan,who then honored us with a musical collaboration on the beautiful Christmas hymn,"What Child Is This" Kelly is a skilled classical violinist and it was a delight to have her perform with Jim and Martha on this special occasion. What a beautiful conclusion to a special day. |
