Martha Hession Receives Grant from MAC |

| The Mississippi Arts Commission has awarded Martha Hession a business recovery grant for outstanding artistic achievement. The aim of this grant is to enable the individual artist to purchase materials and equipment for furthering the production of their own artistic endeavors. From this grant Martha will move forward with plans to finish the production of jazz CD's already in progress. The state of Mississippi has been actively supporting the progress of all artists on the Gulf Coast. The jazz vocalist and her pianist husband,Jim , have been instrumental in reintroducing live jazz to the Gulf Coast since their relocation from California in 2003. Martha gratefully accepts this grant and encourages others to learn more about grants that may be available in your own particular area. |
