Icarus' Cry is a Swedish band that started out as songwriters that wanted to write different pop music from what you usually hear on the radio. The more time they spent on songwriting the better the songs has become over the years. Live, they have done several of local conserts with just two guitars that has become legendery.
Albin Olsson is the main songwriter that is of great value for the band, but also the main vocalist. Martin is the one who is the king of pop guitar solos that make a perfect fit into the compositions. He's also the one who has got the determination to finish the songs song that Albin just can't finish. In the long run they're equally good musicians and that can be explain by the fact that they are twins. If you look at one of them, the other one is the look-alike of the other.
The music is very easy-going and the songs are in different languages like Swedish, English and French. The guitars is the core of their pop style and that you'll notice quite soon.
Artist Mission
Our aim is to spread or music in different media. We are not planning to make any profit from our music even if that would be cool. We would like a label if there's one out there that dares to give it a shot.
Music Influences
Martin has been influenced of a lot of rock from the 80s, Yngwie Malmsteen, Mr. Big among others. In some songs you hear it in the solos but in the most songs you can't hear it at all. Albin is the one-who-don't-listen-to-any-other-music-than-his-own guy and believe it makes him more creative and original.
You might hear some influence from Swedish pop stars like Per Gessle and Ted Gärdestad.
