The band, It’s Not Over consists of three high school seniors musicians who have been playing in various clubs throughout Staten Island, New York. The trio combines classic rock with alternative rock to make their own unique style. They are sometimes compared to the musical styles of Green day and other bands of that era. The band is led by singer/songwriter Mike Gio on various instruments: bass, guitar, and keyboard he is also joined by band members including Matt Cabello, 17 on drums and on guitar and bass, Harrison Burdo, 17.
Mike’s love of music goes back to when he was three years old, strumming his father’s acrostic guitar while singing along with the beatles. He comes from a family of amateur musicians and his mother who is a journalist and author. When Mike was in search of a drummer he turned to his friend of ten years Matt. Matt who also lives on Staten Island, always had an interest in music but never was able to pursue his desire because he lived in a small apartment with his mom and dad. Mike took him under his wings and taught him basic drum and he just escalated into an up and coming drummer. Harrison has been around music all his life. His father was a drummer, and guitarist for his band as was his uncle. He began playing guitar a few years ago and since then has played lead guitar and bass on some of the newer works The band recorded their first studio recording last week and looks forward to sharing their new singles throughout the clubs and venues in New York.
Artist Mission
Our Mission, as a band and artists, is to not only entertain and enjoy ourselves through music but to also communicate, express, and reach out to people through words and music. The combination of words and music can be so powerful it can totally change the listener's mood. Basically, we all can relate to music. It can make us energetic and want to get up and dance or even help those who feel alone. It's like therapy for the mind and soul. The ultimate form of communication. As a band we fully understand that when people go to see bands play they not only want to hear good music but that they also want to be entertained. Energetic stage presence can not only hype up a crowd but make them want to come again. The mission of our band is pretty basic. Communicate, Entertain, and of coarse have fun!
