Artist Biography

J-byn's music is very fresh and original. He doesn't fit the hip hop mold and his music is creative and fun enough to be remembered and standout in a sea of music that all sounds alike. We enjoyed working with J-byn and his music that appeared on our feature film. -Reece Tedford

J-byn is a regular guy from a small town, but his music is anything but normal. Influenced by a diverse group of artists, like the Supertones, John Reuben, FM static, Denver and the mile high orchestra, pigeon john, and playdough his unorthodox hip hop style attracts a diverse fan base.

Through his music, J-byn wants to motivate people to live the best they can live and not settle for mediocrity - whether it is in a job, relationship, school, music, or social ethics. He especially wants to get his message to the Christian community, who should live above mediocrity and not in hypocrisy.

In 2006, the debut CD "Hip Hop Is Dead… But I'm Not" was released. Two songs from the album titled "If I'm Wrong" and "First Track" will be featured on an upcoming movie by Duststorm productions titled, "The World Is Waiting". The movie will be sold in Christian bookstores and is anticipated to broadcast on cable TV. He has developed a strong online presence as well. His songs, featured on various Web sites, receive and average 300 plays a day.
