Album Summary
First ever vinyl reissue - remastered from the original reels - 180gm vinyl. As in Oxygene and Equinoxe, Jean Michel Jarre composed, performed and produced Les Chants Magne'tiques (1981). In this album, he continued to explore the eletronic instrumental sound he loved so much. If the two first albums were dedicated to Nature, Chants Magne'tiques was inspired by the actions of men in their environment, in specifically human activities. We hear the sounds of trains, of wheels, metallic, mechanical noises...which do not harm the ethereal, organic sounds, the musical texture which has become Jean Michel Jarre's trademark.
