On July 18th, 2003, Rachel Koloroutis (18) was murdered. A year later, police released composite sketches of two individuals wanted for questioning. In order to publicize the sketches and to support Crime Stoppers, Jennifer organized a benefit concert in memory of Rachel at Six Flags AstroWorld on center stage. The concert was covered by the local FOX, ABC, WB, & Eyewitness News Channels, The Houston Chronicle, Bay Runner, El Dia, and several other magazines, newspapers, TV, and radio stations.

Jennifer interned at Sugarhill Recording Studios for Dan Workman Music in Marketing and Promotion where she was able to network, get some valuable professional experience, and learn many marketing and business management skills. She also had the opportunity to co-write with Mr. Workman.

Jennifer worked for six months learning to write "the radio-ready-pop-song" with Houston Indie Producer MDThompson of Ivory Tower Realizations. She also recorded her first four song EP with him, which featured Jennifer playing (on piano) and singing her own original songs while accompanied by electric and acoustic guitar (Jason Lee Greenberg), electric bass (Mike Grovogle), acoustic bass (Aric Nitzberg), violin (Dave Thomas) and drums (MDThompson).
