“From start to finish the music of Jeza wanders musically and instrumentally thru a gauntlet of stylings and feels... Recorded by an International cast of players who 'get it' when it comes to helping Jeza's songs come to life. Jeza has his own distinct vocal style and a very cool sense of phrasing that he 'signs' each of his songs with. There is an International feel and sound to his music that moves freely across all borders...”- Bronson Hermuth, author of ‘100 miles from a record deal’
Jeza hails from London, England, where his musical odyssey began at the age of 12 playing lunchtime school concerts until he was ready for the wider kaleidoscopic musical future that seems to have been tailor made for him. Jeza's music has global reach with many international bridges continuing to be built in between. Following the widely acclaimed 1999 debut CD release 'Jeza Wined Up', his latest album 'Man In The Mirror' is the product of two years intensive work with a few early (1970s) songs being reworked plus a whole treasure chest of fresh material from 2003! Working via the internet with musicians as far afield as Guatemala, USA, Italy, Israel & UK. This work is screaming out to be heard
Artist Mission
‘Unique & Intriguing. Jeza has created an impression that lingers with his use of exotic themes and world class musicianship’ ProCriticRadio ~ ‘This music crosses many lines and its tailor made for radio play I can think of several formats that the music would fit into very successfully. Jeza leaves no doubt in mind that his ability and mass appeal will garner the deserved notoriety for his efforts. Job well done. This is music with personality’ Keith Hannelek ~ ‘this is an example of why the record industry is so dumb. These tracks are professional in every sense, catchy without being overly commercial, well written without being complicated. I would listen over and over, but if Jeza isn’t on a label its criminal. Its who you know, and not what you do, because if it were the latter, Jeza would be a household name by now .. ’ MyT UK fan
Music Influences
I guess my main influence would be music from the 1960s and 70s. The Beatles come out high on the list, which would also include Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Winwood, Sting, Bob Marley, Peter Gabriel, Gong, Little Feet, Paul Simon, Baaba Maal, Bjork, Bolan, Paul Simon, Carlos Santana & the Clash to name but a few who have inspired me over the years .. so if you liked any of those acts you might like this
I see bands on the web all the time that say, ‘I don’t know who we sound like .. it’s unique, it’s original. You tell us!’. Occasionally I get told my vocal sounds like Eric Clapton. There is nothing wrong with ‘sounding like’ a well known mainstream artist .. even though it's entirely unique and original. Truth is, Clapton would just love to sound like Jeza !!
