"Your Pain in My Heart," the inspirational Artistopian hit that stayed in the top 5 on the Gospel chart for longer than 6 weeks is now available as a free download!
The song was released in late fall 2006 as a final addition to the album, "A Day in My Shoes." Its purpose was and still is simple: to appeal to an audience who always wanted that special person on the other end who could listen to and be a shoulder to cry on with empathy.
"What inspired me to write this song was a serious lack of people around who truly understood me," the producer, song-writer said. "I basically thought about what I, or anyone else wants to hear when they really need someone to listen, feel, and empathize."
Within the inspirational hit, the word empathy is defined. Empathy means your pain in my heart. "While I was at one of my Bible studies one night, we went over the definition of empathy," said Katrise. "When I heard that definition, the first thing I thought was, 'that would make an awesome song! Then, I started pulling some of my own personal emotions into the lyrics and what you're about to download is the final product!"
Many may wonder why Katrise is suddenly making this song free after it apparently has what it takes to go all the way to the top. "This is my way of saying thank you to everyone who has supported me and continue to support me in my song-writing and producing endeavors. I am also hoping that while visiting my profile, you will be able to see all of the wonderful new projects that I'm working on and embrace that new material just as much or more so than 'Your Pain in My Heart."
