TSR: Where are you from originally and what sort of things were you into growing up? Katuv: I was born and raised in Northern Ohio, USA. Even at a young age, I was fascinated with music. I remember as a boy walking down to the neighbors house and being mesmerized at the teenagers playing their guitars, drums, and singing. I told myself, even at this early age, that I would be involved with music!
TSR: How did you get started in the music business? Katuv: Playing in numerous bands and worship groups, there was always a desire to write my own songs. When MP3 made its debut and recording music transitioned from analog to digital, recording gear became more affordable. This made it possible for me to record my material and promote it internationally through World Wide Web.
TSR: How long have you been doing what you are doing now? Katuv: I have been writing music and playing in bands since I was a teen, however, recording, producing, and promoting this music as a business did not occur until 2005.
TSR: Who were some of your musical influences? Katuv: Paul McCartney and The Wings, Gordan Lightfoot, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen.
TSR: For those who may not have heard you before, how would you describe your music? Katuv: The sound is both meditative and upbeat. Sometimes a blend of sweet, soft Scriptural melodies with rich, angelic layered vocals, acoustic guitars, Native American flutes, and Middle Eastern percussion. Other times it is energized and uplifting with Ethnic strings, world percussion, electric and acoustic guitars.
TSR: What would you say that most of your songs are about? Katuv: Biblical true stories and themes from Scriptures.
TSR: What are your feelings toward Christians listening to secular music? Katuv: I think it is a heart thing. I love world/ethnic instrumentation and if there is a secular song that has a unique instrument, I will give it a listen for ideas. God knows our heart and thoughts so as believers, we just need to be mindful of this and keep our thoughts pure and blameless before Him.
TSR: How has God been working in your life lately? What things has He been teaching you? Katuv: To walk in love and patience. Do not move forward too slow or too fast less you walk too far behind Him or too far in front of Him.
TSR: What is the most important thing that you would like people to take away from your music or live shows? Katuv: A longing to draw closer to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob without any of the world's tolerances and or compromises.
TSR: What is your favorite bible verse? Katuv: But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. John 4:23
TSR: What things do you like to do in your spare time? Katuv: Listening to unique, multicultural music, sitting down and watching a good movie with my family.
TSR: Who is your favorite Christian artist? Katuv: Eden's Bridge a> bilification unstudied generic sildenafil
