Born in very humble beginning and the manifestations of the glory of God that is within him, the love of music remained constant in his life. In his early childhood, he spends his time in the church, playing drums, singing, playing the organ and a wide array of other musical instruments.
In the core of KingHopeton he knew what he wanted and he was willing to make the sacrifices that were necessary in keeping with his goals and focus in the music industry. The long–standing success in based on his unconditional love for Music and expects only the best for himself, friends and family.
KingHopeton gathered a wealth of knowledge and experience in Jamaica playing at local sessions, weddings and numerous functions before the age of 16. Being versed in most musical forms he governed the artistry of Reggae, Jazz, R&B, Mento and Classical music.
His commitment to excellence relegates him to be an extraordinary musician, joining the United Force Band in 1990, founded by Hart Richards, Manager and Pioneer in Jamaica. United Force received five consecutive awards by the Jamaican Federation of Musicians for the Best Show band.
KingHopeton is inspired by the profound teaching of King David, King Solomon, Bob Marley, Marcus Mosiah Garvey to name a few.
The uniqueness of Kinghopeton is governed by writing and producing his own music. He has been influenced by top producers in Jamaica, Stellie and Cleevie, Sly and Robbie, Steven Stanley and Hart Richards. He also have several singles being aired across Radio Jamaica, Irie Fm, Zip Fm, 100.3, The Beat Fm in California , USA and many others.
Kinghopeton made several guest appearances on TVJ’s Smile Jamaica, CVM’s Good Morning Jamaica, Reggae Sun and Boutya TV and several radio interviews locally in Jamaica, the UK, Africa, USA and several Caribbean islands.
Kinghopeton , President and Director of “DoubleLion Record and Entertainment Inc. has produced various artist in the reggae music business including Xsample, Glo, Militant, Rasta Life, Teflon, Little Hero etc. He believes that this responsibility lies in be available to his artist whenever the need advise, support and most important sharing his knowledge. With his devotion to his cause and his consciousness to the need of humanity endorse him as one of God’s great manifestation.
