Album Summary
Rescue Dawn stars Christian Bale and Steve Zahn. It is written and directed by Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), based on his acclaimed 1997 documentary, Little Dieter Needs to Fly. The film will be released by MGM Pictures on July 4, 2007.
Rescue Dawn recounts the true story of German-born Dieter Dengler (Christian Bale), who dreamed of flying. After making his way to the United States, he joined the Navy during the Vietnam War and became a pilot. He was shot down over Laos and captured, but eventually organized a daring escape with a small band of captives.
Composer Klaus Badelt began his musical career writing and producing music for dozens of movies and commercials in his native Germany. Since moving to California at the invitation of Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer, he has regularly collaborated with Zimmer and other composers, and penned his own projects, including Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.

Album Summary
Original score composed by Klaus Badelt. An adventure movie in the grand old style, albeit a modern one featuring the quirky talents of Johnny Depp, the 2003 film PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN seems tailor-made for a good old-fashioned orchestral film score. Fortunately, that's just what composer Klaus Badelt gives it. You'll find no pop-group promotional tie-ins here, just plenty of evocative mood music that captures the drama and panoramic vistas of this summer blockbuster.

Album Summary
Gloomy, chain-smoking detective John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) has literally been to Hell and back, an experience that comes in handy in this film adaptation of the DC comic, Hellblazer (a thematic first cousin to the superior Hell Boy.) Young composer Brian Tyler, whose work showed such inventive promise in the miniseries Children of Dune, weaves a moody orchestral tapestry dotted with occasional flashes of the gripping post-modernism Don Davis used to such good effect in the Matrix series. But the "collaborations" of Hans Zimmer protégé Klaus Badelt seem like demographically driven, last-minute studio tinkering, jolting Tyler's subtle, often haunting soundscape with brash doses of intrusive metal, club beats and McAction film thunder. Tyler occasionally evokes the emotive, longing spirit of John Barry's classic arrangements, cues that are almost evocative enough to elevate the project above its unfortunate soundtrack-by-committee fate. --Jerry McCulley
