History: Over a decade ago, eight years in the future, Davey and Eddie decided that music was what was hot on the streets with friends Josue and Zak to play drums and bass with us. Under the name Sticky Package, we played our first show at Sierra High. Shortly after, we lost our bassist and picked up a new one from sending in 10 box tops to Keloggs Cereal. Under the name Left in the Embers we came to rock with Peeko (Leo ) to sing for us. The next show was at Gary Beary Stadium with Lear 43 for a benifit. Seeing how real musicians played opened our eyes. Our next show would be spirit day at Sierra (May 6th).
That summer things looked bleak for the band. We took a break. Peeko was needed else were with his angel pipes. After a long summer Davey and Eddie regrouped and began to write in a completely different way. We changed our name to A Day Lost in Motion. By fate of myspace, one of our prayers were answered in Septemeber when Bass player Bobbie moved here. Lost in Motion was our new name. We began to play shows at the youth center with Remington Steel filling in on drums and playing with My Autumn, The Lance Uppercut, As Told By, to name a few, we could see a bright future. We found the last piece to the puzzle at these shows, and his name was Steve, the drummer and is one of a kind.
Part II: Bobby's heart was in Ohio so he left us. Sean (Steves brother) was a bass player that was open, so he was recruited. Daniel jumped into the singer position as if he were born for it. Now we are a whole and are going to do the best we can to make sure you leave the show without your socks. We are Lost in Motion and we are ready to pick up the soap.
Artist Mission
We are a band that sounds like Gary Coleman waking up 2 hours early during his beauty nap! We understand that in Colorado Springs, many of the bands are hardcore or screamo, but we are the sore thumb in the trend. It's not that we like that style of music because we do show a little bit of that style in our pieces, but are into the edgy, yet catchy harmonizing guitars, the sound of the drums beating along-side your heart, having enough bass to make your ears bleed, all incorporated with a vocalist that sounds like a choir of a thousand angels singing "All The Small Things" from Blink 182! We intend to make the music that will rock your socks off every time you pop in our cd into your car stereo and to have your head bobbing and your voice singing every meaningful line in each of our pieces! Hope you enjoy it! Fo Sho!
