I'm Louis Souyave, I'm a self produced singer/songwriter hailing from the sunny climes of South East London (ENGLAND!!!). My music is what i call Electrock, basically techy beats with distorted guitars and power pop melodies. All of my songs are produced in my bedroom using my trusty cheap arse Behringer B-8 Condenser Mic, and old versions of Cubase and Reason. I started off playing guitar a few years ago then decided that i wanted to record myself for bit of an ego trip.....well, the ego trip was somewhat short lived when the results were.....lets say....shit.
At this point i was determined to make it, and me, sound better. So as time went by I played and recorded covers, with the end products slowly beginning to develop from ugly ducklings to slightly less ugly ducklings. I started to write my own songs when it occured to me that maybe i should try and be me instead of Bon Jovi. So, my writing became more and more frequent and experimental and 4 years later i stumbled on what I call electrock, rock music at 170bpm with epic choruses and dance beats that would deafen Ibiza....well something like that. anyways if you want to know more about me, come see me live sometime or CDs are available upon request
Artist Mission
I am self produced and play guitar, drums, bass, keyborad(for recording) and am a vocalist. I have in the past written, produced and performed various genres including pop, folk, rock, metal, drum n bass, british hip hop, elcetro and prog rock, and have now settled on Electrock (Rocktro). Although settled on my own material as an artist, i continue to write songs for all genres with other artists in mind, and the full intention of persuing a career as a songwriter/producer.
My eventual aims are to become a solo artist in my own right as well as to continue down the road of songwriting. I continue to gig around London, Oxford and Brighton with my trusty acoustic; hopefully adding my laptop to the equation asap.
