MAINTAIN, San Fernando Valley's most original soul/funk band releases their first full-length album "Soul Music" on Saturday October 6, 2007!
The infectious grooves of MAINTAIN come alive as they celebrate the release of their highly anticipated record. "The record is titled "Soul Music" because we feel it's the phrase that best encompasses our music." says guitarist/vocalist Jason Gutierrez. The MAINTAIN expression of "soul" music is more in-tune with the organic roots of the original genre which covers a very broad range of soulful, rhythmic and poetic music. The songs they have created have blossomed without any pre-conceived concepts or formulas. This is a real band, expressing themselves the only way they know how; they write and play what they know and feel. The self-produced album was recorded by Jason Gutierrez at his ENFIELD STUDIOS in the San Fernando Valley.
MAINTAIN is: Gino Garofalo: Bass & Lead Vocals - Jason Gutierrez: Guitar & Vocals - Rahsaan Dorsey: Keys & Vocals - Joakim Ekberg: Drums & Percussion
