Manakin are a 4-piece rock band from the Mid-Ulster area. We combine electric guitars, sing-a-long melodies, and the band’s amazing energy, to create original sounding songs that you just can’t help but rock out to when you hear them. Be warned: You’ll be singing and humming the tunes in your head forever!
With dozens of gigs under our belt and a strong following, Manakin have established themselves as a serious band with high hopes. There are 2 singer/songwriters in the band so we’ve amassed an impressive collection of high quality rock songs, as well as a nice variety in our sound - from mellow acoustic songs, to ripping-apart-your-house hard rock. The songs are short, catchy and through out you will always find gripping melodies, crazy energy and enthusiasm, as well as strong instrumental work.
Manakin recorded their first CD in late August 2004 in Einstein Studios Antrim with Frankie Mc Clay and it's recieved incredible reviews.
