Alongside D'Angelo and Erykah Badu, Maxwell was important in helping to shape and define the Neo-Soul movement that rose to prominence over the latter half of the '90s. Born in Brooklyn, New York but raised in a soulful state, Maxwell was hugely influenced by Al Green, and fused a combination of soul, R&B and funk, along with inspirations of blues, rock and dance. This 15 track collection includes a cover version of Kate Bush's 'A Woman's Work' as well as chart topping tracks `Sumthin' Sumthin' and `Ascension'. Sony/BMG.

International version of the urban artist's 1997 companion to his acclaimed MTV appearance with one additional track, 'Till The Cops Come Knockin'. Also features his beautiful rendition of Kate Bush's 'This Woman's Work' which is exclusive to this release. Of the other tracks, it features the singles, 'Sumthin' Sumthin', 'Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder)' & 'Whenever ,Whatever, Wherever'.
