Mirah was born the youngest of three children. Most of her childhood was spent in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania|Bala Cynwyd , Pennsylvania . Mirah was previously a member of The Drivers , an all-female Olympia band. In early 2010, Mirah performed with Thao with the Get Down Stay Down|Thao Nguyen at the Noise Pop festival in San Francisco.
