Together, the Mo Thugs collective released four studio albums from 1995 to 2003. Unlike Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Mo Thugs were not on Ruthless Records .
History
The group's first album, Family Scriptures was released in March 1996. The album was a success, peaking at No. 2 on both the Billboard 200 and Top R& B/Hip-Hop Albums (held from the top spot of both charts by Tupac Shakur 's All Eyez On Me ), and reaching platinum status for sales over one million copies.
Mo Thugs followed Family Scriptures in 1998 with Chapter II: Family Reunion . The album featured the collectives biggest hit, " Ghetto Cowboy ", which peaked at 15 on the Billboard 200 . Though not as successful as Family Scriptures , it nevertheless reached gold status for sales of 500,000 copies.
The collective has since released two more albums, Mo Thugs III: The Mothership in 2000, and The Movement (Mo Thugs album)|The Movement in 2003.
